Reproducibility Hackathon

The Chameleon team invites students to participate in a Reproducibility Hackathon at the 13th Greater Chicago Area Systems Research (GCASR) 2026 conference. Participants will package experiments from their published research for reproducibility on Chameleon using Trovi, review the artifacts of other participants, and the top contributors will present their work in a dedicated session at the workshop.

Note: This event will take place concurrently with the poster session. If you are planning to participate in the poster session, please do not apply for this session, and vice versa.

Before the conference

  1. Package their research: Take your experiment from a recently published CS paper (last 3 years) and package it for reproducibility on Chameleon using Trovi (trovi.chameleoncloud.org). Record a 2-minute video presenting your packaged experiment and reproducibility findings. See examples here.
  2. Review others’ artifacts: Reproduce and review 1 packaged experiment from another participant, documenting findings and any challenges encountered.

At the conference

The top 6 packages and presentations will be selected to present during a dedicated 2-hour session at GCASR (15 minutes each: 10-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A). Note: This session will take place at the same time as the poster session.
